Rapid Pass respects the privacy of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect user information during the use of the Rapid Pass mobile application and associated services.

  • Full Name
  • National Identification Number (NID)
  • Date of Birth
  • Contact Information (Mobile number and email address)
  • User Photo
  • Rapid Pass / MRT Pass card information
  • Card usage and recharge transaction data
  • App usage information and technical data (e.g., data collected via Firebase)
2. How Your Information is Used

The collected information is used for the following purposes:

  • For issuance, management, and maintenance of Rapid Pass cards
  • To complete payment and recharge processes
  • To provide customer service and respond to user inquiries
  • To improve service quality, app functionality, and user experience
  • To identify and resolve technical issues
3. Payment Processing

Rapid Pass uses the SSLCommerz payment gateway for online recharges.

  • Necessary transaction details are shared securely with SSLCommerz
  • Rapid Pass does not store any sensitive information regarding cards, bank accounts, or payments

SSLCommerz processes payment data according to their own privacy policy and security standards.

4. Firebase Analytics & Crash Reporting

To improve app performance and stability, Rapid Pass uses Firebase services provided by Google LLC.

  • App usage statistics
  • Feature usage data
  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • App crash and error reports

Firebase does not collect any sensitive personal information such as passwords, National ID numbers, or payment details.

5. Information Sharing

We may share information with reliable third parties only for operational purposes, such as:

  • Payment processors (e.g., SSLCommerz)
  • Analytics and crash reporting services (e.g., Firebase)

We never sell, rent, or misuse user information.

6. Data Security

To protect user information, we take necessary technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections, limited access, and compliance with applicable government security standards.

Users have the right to view, correct, and request the deletion of their accounts and information under applicable laws and regulations.

8. Account Deletion Policy

Users can request to delete their Rapid Pass account at any time:

    After account deletion, the following information will be permanently removed:

    • Personal Information
    • Login and account information
    • Rapid Pass / MRT Pass card related information
    • Other user-related data

However, some information may be stored for a specific period for legal and regulatory purposes (e.g., transaction records, audits, and complaint-related data). Account deletion requests are usually processed within 7 to 30 working days.

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be published on our website or app. Continued use of Rapid Pass after changes will be considered consent to the revised policy.

10. Regulatory Authority

Rapid Pass is managed under the supervision of the Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) and follows all applicable government rules and regulations.

11. Children's Privacy

Rapid Pass does not knowingly collect personal information from children below the age specified by applicable local laws.
